Description: Forth is a language usually found in embedded systems. It's a little different from most other languages, and is very extensible. It makes excellent use of recursion.

History: Forth was developed by Chuck Moore at NRAO in the late 1960s, and formalized as a language in 1977. The current ANSI standard was set in 1994.

Applications: Most applications are for embedded systems.
