TOM

4/12/04: Just tried to configure,make, make install TOM under Cygwin. did NOT work. Will try to figure it out after the other languages have had their chance at an install.

Description: "TOM is an object-oriented programming language that advocates unplanned reuse of code" - from the home page. It compiles using the "tesla" compiler.

In order to use TOM on MS Windows, you need to install a Unix-like environment, such as Cygwin. As I said above, this didn't work on my first try.

History: The latest release of TOM is 1.1.1, as of Sep 2001.

Applications: I know of no applications written in TOM.
